Since we have a thread for Sonic related questions, I figured we could have a thread for Mega Man-Related questions.

Here, you can ask anything about Mega Man and/or you can also answer other people's questions as well. So ask/answer away!

Why did they never make Mega Man 11? They skipped right to 12. It makes no sense to me. It's not as egregious as the skip from 18 to 64 I guess

He also reprograms the stolen Robot Masters and modifies them for combat, when applicable.

I think in both 6 and 10's cases, they were stolen or targeted by Wily, but they weren't created by him. At least it's not like 7 or 8 where he created some while stealing others!

6 were supposedly taken from scientists all over the world from the Robot Tournament, unless that was some kind of sham.
10 were infected by Roboenza, but Wily would have built copies of them himself for some reason some how.

Dr. Wily spends just as much time stealing robots as he does building his own.

MM1 - All of them were built by Dr. Light but stolen and modified by Dr. Wily.

MM2 - All of them built by Dr. Wily, but some of them were based on MM1's designs. (Crash Man is a combination of Guts Man and Bomb Man, and Heat Man is an upgraded design on Fire Man. While not stated in any official sources, it's generally assumed Bubble Man was also based on Ice Man to some degree, and Time Man could have been a precursor to Flash Man after the MMPU retcon.)

MM3 - All of them were built by both doctors, stolen and modified by Dr. Wily, with the exception of Shadow Man. Shadow Man was a robot found by Dr. Wily during an excavation and is believed to be of alien descent. He was modified into the Shadow Man we know today alongside Dr. Light, but then also stolen and modified with the other seven.

MM4 - All of them were built by Dr. Cossack but stolen and modified by Dr. Wily.

MM5 - For the first time, all eight Robot Masters are built on Dr. Wily and based on original designs.

MM6 - Built by different engineers from all over the world to be used in the First Annual Robot Tournament, but then stolen and modified by "Mr. X" (who is actually... Dr. Wily). We never see any of the engineers who built these robots, but they all come from different nationalities.

MM7 - Half of them were built by Dr. Wily as combat robots, and the other half were normal robots that were stolen and modified by Dr. Wily. (Their original creators are unknown.) This includes Freeze Man, Burst Man, Cloud Man, and Shade Man.

MM8 - Same thing, except 6 of them were built from scratch by Dr. Wily, while the other 2 (Clown Man and Astro Man) were stolen and modified from unknown creators.

MM&B - This one's all over the place. Tengu Man and Astro Man return, but they are rebuilt by King, not Dr. Wily. And as noted above, Tengu Man was originally a Dr. Wily creation, and Astro Man was not. Then we have the new Robot Masters. Ground Man is the only Robot Master actually created by King. Cold Man is the only Robot Master stolen and modified by King. The remaining 4 (Dynamo Man, Pirate Man, Burner Man, and Magic Man) apparently received no modifications and willingly joined King's cause. But then there's the fact that Dr. Wily created King, so in a way, King's creations were an extension of Dr. Wily. Confused?

MM9 - All of them were created by Dr. Light but modified by Dr. Wily.

MM10 - This one's kind of tricky. None of these robots were created by Dr. Wily and weren't really modified by him either. They were infected with Roboenza and basically went on a killing spree. But Dr. Wily was responsible for spreading the Roboenza virus... And these robots have DWN serial numbers.

It doesn't help almost all of them are DWN numbers so we haveno idea who the originals are. I had a list awhile ago but thankfully it's easier put here.

Also, don't forget Quint, who was pretty much Rock stolen and modified by Wily from the future.

I have a general Mega Man question. How intelligent is Rush in the comics? Rush's intelligence is a non-issue in the games. He is essentially an item and serves no other purpose. In the cartoon, Rush has the intelligence for a low-IQ human but he is still intelligent enough to function on his own. In the comic, we have not seen enough of Rush to really understand his level of intelligence. He is able to respond to some pretty advanced commands. He also retains a lot of canine behaviour and mannerisms. So, would he be considered an exceptionally intelligent dog or a low-IQ human?
