Actually I was sort of disappointed too. When I heard there was new content, I thought it meant new comic pages. The little essays are cute, but they weren't really enough to justify getting the issue twice. If it had just been a straight reprint I wouldn't care (I don't mind not being catered to), but there was a little bit of misleading going on here.

Regardless of any opinion on it, it's a lot easier to fit more narrative in if conveyed with just words. If they'd have been done in standard comic format, I think there'd only be room for 2 of the different viewpoints, provided they had the same details. While it would have looked prettier, it'd also be much more of a tease just to have two perspectives on the Genesis universe as opposed to the ones we got.

So all Ian would have to do is straighten up one book on his shelf.

I had a snarky reply to this all set and ready to go, but then I realized that it wouldn't help anything, so instead I'm just going to suggest that the text stories be posted on the Sonic blog, for the benefit of the fans who couldn't get their hands on the issue. I mean, it was a free issue anyway, so it's not like Archie will be losing sales by distributing the content online for free, right?

Really? I thought those Genesis stories were very well written. You would write an awesome book.
