Mega Man has a new Producer

Postby Mavrickindigo » Fri May 29, 2015 6:26 am

I follow the development of the Mega Man board game, and recently I read an update where they were talking about approval process with Capcom. This has been a bit of an issue with them, as it seems a lot of times Capcom needs them to change things, which really slows down the process. All the changes look really good, so I'm a okay with that, but the most recent update has me quite interested indeed, particularly with this one line.

So apparently there is a new producer for Mega Man at Capcom.

Does this mean there could be more Mega Man on the way?

I'm a little curious about this, I don't know Capcom's business structure, assume they have more then one producer something like Mega Man. I mean I would think that they would have at least one that tries push video games, get them made or released to the market. I would guess stuff like the approving comics, toys, trading card and board games would fall under another person. With someone that sees over them both.

But it could be all the some person all I know.

I've heard about this sort of thing before. Generally, Capcom has people who more or less oversee certain franchises, if I remember correctly. For instance, Yoshinori Ono is not just the guy in charge of the Street Fighter games, but I think most Street Fighter stuff beyond that as well goes through him, at least to some degree.

Appears Oil Man has his comic look there. Makes me wonder if Capcom's more open to adopting comic elements compared to Sega, then again the scarf was originally there to cover Oil Man's controversial design.
