In fairness, those were more about Eggman and Wily together, rather than what they were actually doing.

True. I guess a better way to make my point would be issue #20's variant where Mega Man is at Wily Castle 4.

Imagine someone picking up the variant and being blindsided by its serious contents.

I think some of us just said that, but that is very, very true.

Maybe it's not serious. Maybe Mega Man is battling his "inner self" (i.e., Bad Box Art) while Drs. Light and Wily are repairing him.

Disagree. He's funny when used correctly. I'm fine with this cover.

I love it. Spaz is so talented, he even makes BBA Mega Man look good.

I find it interesting that he didn't use the overweight SFxT version...

Well, that appearance did cause some controversy. Granted, it was more due to bad timing, but still.

You see the art on the cover? That guy. He also did the beautiful variant for Curse of Ra Moon part 3.

So the guy who did the variant for #31 (and the main one for this issue) will be penciling this?

Cool! I admit I didn't recognize the name at first until I looked up his work on MegaManMonthly but since he did pretty well with both covers, I'm intrigued to him tackling the interiors of this issue.

It was kind of a one-off, too. This is closer to the original, and what we were going to see in MM Universe, which I can appreciate.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I like this better than Old Man Mega from SFxT. Just found it a little surprising since the SFxT is the "canonical" version (considering MMU never came to fruition)... Well, as "canonical" as he can get.

If we ever do get some kind of actual "Box Art Brawl," I hope, dream, insist, and demand that SFxT Roll be included in the fun.

To be fair, At this point in the comic, BBAMM robably isn't that fat. Considering the concept of his character in SFxT is that he was out of a job since Mega Man 1. WE haven't even gotten to MEga Man 3 yet, and the comic has only just gotten over a year chronologically-speaking. BBAMM probably hasn't let himself go yet.
