Ugh, that was pretty darn stinky of me, wasn't it? Sorry everyone, just a little frustrated because I've lately seen a lot of fans (often turning up in the oddest places) talking about what they think is wrong with "the anniversary" and what they can't have, instead of looking at the good things like this book.

So of course I responded to negativity with negativity, because that'll surely result in something positive...

Anyway... the Anniversary nature of the issue, and the description of Rock taking a trip through his experiences yet to come leaves me thinking the issue will be glimpses of stories (probably mainly based on the games) that the book hasn't gotten to yet.

I'm kind of torn. I know it'd make a lot of people happy if the issue had every "Rockman"-oriented cameo possible in the Anniversary issue, down to the obscure characters and games, and that would be good. But that seems like it would eat up a lot of space, and I'd like to see a little more focus on some of the more unique and interesting characters yet to show up, maybe even setting up a couple of "mysteries" to leave people speculating until the stories happen, like with The Traitor in Sonic's book. Then again, if Rock is seeing this stuff, he can't get too good a look at anything, or else he'd be forewarned, so brief glimpses of a lot of characters seems more likely...

On a totally selfish note I'm hoping we might see some confirmation that the Cossacks will still be regulars post-MM4. I'm a big fan of Mikhail's.

To be fair, three cancelled games in a row (no official word for Rockman Online yet, but it's fairly obviously dead) is not a good sign--especially with a company that will gladly drop a series the instant it stops doing well (see: Breath of Fire). I don't think anyone's really ignoring the few good things to come out of the anniversary; it's just that "a series that I and many fans have grown up with could be dropped at any moment" is a bigger priority right now.

On-topic...I'm not sure what to expect with this issue, honestly; I'm looking forward to whatever's in store. (Hopefully they won't pull the old "(hearty laughter) Rock becomes X because they both have the title of Megaman and are blue!" gag. Mr. Inafune jossed that a LONG time ago...)

Since I made the comment Damo's responding to I want to say it was more of a "It would be cool if" thing than a "THIS HAZ TA HAPPEN OR ISSUE WILL SUCK" thing.

My comic shop said they didn't get it today.

EDIT: So we finally got Quake Woman's Robot Master serial number in this book. If I remember correctly, it's DLLN-001. I noticed on the Mega Man wiki, it said LMN-001, so I corrected it, unless I'm missing something.

Which issue? Maybe the graphic novel retconned this?

I thought it was released a little while ago, since I picked it up from the store already. Is DLLN-001 an error then? Also, what does LMN stand for?
