I see Archie's Red top header is now gracing Mega Man's comic. It looks interesting. I wonder if something similar will be applied to Sonic.

I think that header changes colors like Sonic Universe the variant cover was yellow if you didn't notice witch makes good use of the header by putting part of Protoman's head infront of it.

Ugh, Sanford Greene. He's not terrible, but I don't understand with such an onslaught of talented artists why Archie keeps bringing him back time and again.

If you look at the cover on full size you will realize he has to learn to color inside the lines.

Well I like both covers. But seriously, why does MegaMan get real variants like that, and all of Sonic's variants are SEGA variants or Sketch Variants? and speaking of Sonic, where's their previews?! :P

Anyway, these covers are awesome, and I'm excited for this to come out.

This actually looks pretty good compared to his Sonic covers.

I will never understand why so many artists try to make Mega Man ripped. They're alright covers though: the first is sort of wonky but exciting, while the other is a little bland but well done.

Here are the solicits from Midtown Comics:

"(W) Ian Flynn (A) Gary Martin & Various (CA) Mike Norton

'Proto-Type,' Part 2. The origin of Mega Man's wayward brother, Proto Man, continues! What happened to the robot named 'Blues' after he left Dr. Light? And how did he make is fateful encounter with Dr. Wily? Then, in 'Cold Feat,' Guts Man comes to Ice Man's aid, but is the buff robot the bigger threat?"
