Still awesome. To a glorious end!

+Can't believe I didn't think of Neo Metal going into this. It was a good intro none the less.
The Breezie-Metal scene reminds me of Shadow and Rouge, honestly. Either Breezie has a android fetish(we can say that, right?), has a crush of Sonic in general, likes bad boys, or is just pulling Metal's nonexistent chain.
+Loved seeing Nack get physical in this issue. Him Coilkicking Bean was suprisingly satisfying.
+The bro scene with Tails was nice.
+The cameos continuen to be hilarious, although most involved Razor.
+/-Anyone notice that attempted Sonic Battle reference on Tail's chinese box? Also, EX-cali-BEEERR!..I think.
+The deathglares the Unbreakable Bond gives Knuckles.
+Honey is cooler than she apparently should be with the Shadowclones and all. Also, she has feathers?!
+The ads. Though, the random rabbot shot confused me. Also, those slot reels? Subtle.
+Still liking the returned 'goofiness' of Nack and 'maliciousness' of Bean and Bark. Not to mention the latters dopey expression.
+Nice to see Team Egg lounge around for one and on pirated pay-per-view to boot!

Essentially, going by the Olympics.

Actually The Rabbit playing poker, Sonic Man and Chao in Space 3 were all examples of Breez Media's entertainment output.

She has fake wings on the back of her dress. Never really thought it before, but I guess they would have feathers.

Nack: You're unconscious now!
Bean: Okay! Bleh! X_X
I laughed for about 5 minutes at that panel. Oh man, this story arc has been everything I hoped for and this issue keeps it going.
While the fights are quick, they flow really well. Shows you don't need an entire issue of a long drawn out fight to make it exciting. The artwork is really on point here with some of the best animated expressions since Dubs. Hats off to Ian, he is really doing a great job of pushing the story forward while also throwing in great references, funny one-liners (Tails: Avenge Me! or Knuckles: I thought we were fighting...) and building the world of the new continuity at the same time.
I can't wait to see the final part!

FINALLY Got the issue!

And Wow! That's all I can say! WOW!

Most of the fights were short, and probably not that exciting for the audience, except for the opening Nack vs. Bean and Sonic vs. Honey. But the rest of the building and humor was GREAT.

Also, Knucklehead seems to be delusional, going by the final page. :P Everyone knows that in the game universe, Sonic has beaten Knuckles in fights without a single fight loss (Sonic 3 & Knuckles's Sonic vs. Knuckles bout, Sonic Triple Trouble, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Advance 2... And the two didn't even get into a fight in Battle's plot - though they could have if Sonic didn't let Emerl fight Knux instead!). Poor, poor delusional Echidna. Either that or he has a few memories left in his brain from the pre-reboot.

Why delusional? Yeah we know the game universe, but this is the comic fused with the game universe so he probably had beaten Sonic in some fights :D.

Pretty sure he hasn't. That's the entire point of Knuckles's character that while he's super strong, he can't think fast enough to beat Sonic.

ALSO, relooking at the lines, Sonic's line merely implies he's beaten Knuckles more than Knuckles has beaten him. KNUCKLES'S line implies that Sonic's NEVER beaten him.

So the point stands.

Oh snap lmao.
Well I'm not sure if your point can stand if we never seen the reboot past between the two :P. That's why I said Knuckles probably have beaten him in some fights since this is the comic book version.

Breeztv sounds hilarious, I would actually love an arc about Chao in Space. Waves of Change was great for many things, one of them was the focus on the Chao race.

Also, I don't know if anyone noticed, but Lost Hex appears in one of Eggman's monitors. Nice cameo to foreshadow the crossover.

Well he though fast enough to beat Mecha Sonic in S3&K, and he was fast enough to counter Shadow's teleportation in SU #69.

I love this issue!
*The pre-Heroes flashback was interesting, with Breezie getting...cozy with Metal Sonic. I also liked that we got to see Neo Metal. Heroes made such poor use of him that I'm not sure why they even bothered having that new design. He's disguised as Eggman most of the game, then he turns into a big dumb dragon, and then when he's beat, he turns back into his normal design. ...Well, anyway, this isn't a place to rant about Heroes. I appreciate seeing him here though.
*Sonic cheering up his best bud. <3
*As someone whose favorite characters are Knuckles and Amy, I was pretty disappointed by their fight. I feel like even Tails' loss was more dignified! Oh well.
*Tails looks so serious when he says "Avenge me!" :(hearty laughter):
*A Sonic-Man TV show is the greatest idea. Sonic-Man was the only remotely entertaining character in all of Sonic 2006 (and that includes the recurring characters). Chao in Space 3 also makes me happy. I missed that, it was a fun background gag in the Adventure days.
*On the flipside, I love the Knuckles and Nack fight. Nack sneering about how "dumb" Knuckles is, and then Knuckles getting one over on him in a clever way was just fantastic.
*"CUBOT: Oh, I love that duck! He's so funny! ORBOT: Really? I find him tiresome." Just great.
*That ending...Nack's definitely living up to his other name.

The art was also just fantastic. Despite my disappointment at the Knuckles/Amy fight, this might be my favorite issue of the new universe. Can't wait for the next one.

This issue was great, and it had plenty of action. The backstory with Breezie and Neo Metal Sonic was interesting seeing how he built Casino Park, Emerald City. The scene where Sonic cheered up Tails was cute and sweet, and the fight between Nack and Bean was pretty funny. The phone call that Espio received from Vector was also pretty funny. The fight between Knuckles and Amy ended in a pretty brutal way, and I wonder how many people were probably crushed by that rock that Amy was on that hit the floor near some spectators? Also, how did Amy just make it with just a head injury rather than having injuries all over her body? The fight between Sonic and Honey was also cool even though Honey pretty much let him win, and the commercials that played were pretty funny, especially the Chao Boom parody of Sonic Boom. The commercial with Breezie's story was also interesting, and TV commercials in a comic? That's interesting. The fight between Nack and Knuckles was also interesting, and I also saw that Razor was gambling money during the fights as he placed his bets on who would win. I also saw he won his bet against Captain Striker and King Puff (as Queen Angelica facepalmed at that moment), but it was funny that he lost his bet to Pearly and lost all his earning to her, seeing how she's younger than him. I wonder who will win the final match? Sonic or Knuckles? But will Nack stop them from fighting? We'll have to see in the final issue of this story arc.

I am loving the world building and character interaction going on here as well as the art, simply amazing

however, the tournament aspect of this arc is really rushed and disappointing. As someone who grew up on Dragon Ball Z, when someone says "Tournament Arc" I'm expecting a season-long epic where the characters show off interesting abilities and the MCs have to overcome challenging foes. Here the most interesting fights seem to last the shortest. the Bean fight was probably the longest in this issue and was certainly not the main event of the issue that I wanted to see. Luckily, the Breezie stuff makes up for this glaring issue.

really four issues is not enough for a good long tournament storyline.

Honestly, I don't understand all the Breezie love... she's just Rouge without Rouge's secret golden heart. She's a pretty boring character if you ask me, and it just makes me miss Mogul more.

I am enjoying the arc though, for the most part. It's great to see Knuckles really show of his stuff! I also am enjoying Team Hooligan, although I wish Knack wasn't so much of a joke. To be fair though, he is pretty great once her starts pulling out the big guns.

Considering the fact she came from the early 90 cartoon is where most of the love is coming from. However I think you need to look at her character again ignoring the flirt jabs where you probably picking up Rouge's similarities. You can say Breezie is an accomplished version of Lien-da than being second rate plus she owns her own facilities and can be a threat to Eggman because she worked under him. She's a villain, but on a neutral status depending on the circumstance, but no matter what she wishes to stay on top and be the boss.

I find her character mysterious for now because we don't know her true motives yet. However she's still an enemy to the Freedom Fighters if push comes to shove and also her tier is up there with Eggman until more villain rivals surfaces.
