Am I the only one who didn't find it that hard to rack up the points needed for the DLC levels? It felt like by the latter half of the game, I only had to do one or two levels to open it up again.

Either way, I'm really pumped for this level, it looks cool. The fact that it's free definitely helps.

I just downloaded the Zelda DLC, but it doesn't appear to be showing up ingame. Anyone else got this problem?

Try to complete the first level and see if getting the necessary amount of points to open the yoshi level does the trick.

It works now. Had to download another update.

Spoiler: show
There's two sections to the level. The first section is very open with tons of sidepaths to explore in. Then you go inside a cave and it just feels like a reskin of a another level. Instead of collecting rings, Sonic has hearts for health. You start the level with three hearts and can find two more in treasure chests that are hidden in each section. (Opening a chest makes the game go into a Zelda-esque cutscene with that item found music.) There are also rupees all over the place that are converted into flickies. You can easily get nearly a thousand flickies in one playthrough. This is a good level for grinding them.

I forget, what was the quick way to rack up points? Because destroying everything in sight wasn't it, as I learned last time.

Frankly, I just find it an unnecessary hassle, particularly when I just want to replay the level. At least with Yoshi's, which was over pretty quickly-- maybe Zelda is long enough that it's less an issue.

I believe speed runs are the way to go.

Finally got a chance to play through it. Absolutely delightful! Sonic in Hylian gear is adorable, and they didn't skimp on the detail - he's got chainmail under the tunic. The starting area is a neat mish-mash of what looks like Ocarina of Time, Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess. And the Gorons, which could've just been a simple re-texture, actually have a small burrowing animation. It's a little attention to detail that makes the whole thing feel well-rounded.

Is there any way to access that apparent secret path at the beginning of the dungeon?

Pretty sweet stage anyway, I love the easter eggs, I've got to try using the bomb wisp.

So is there just the one dungeon? Or does the Hyrule over world lead to multiple smaller stages?

I've played the stage two or three times exploring the first area and could only find that one dungeon. Every other branching path leads back to the main area.

You need to go in with a Bomb Wisp. If you don't have one, you'll be rewarded with one once you complete the zone.

Discoved a little secret. You can spin dash the bushes to get extra rubies and hearts.

Man, the jump to the floating land for the first treasure chest is TOUGH! I rarely can make it.
