Its not really much of a solution, if we have to start backing things up ourselves. If anything, its like using lots of duct tape to stop pipes from leaking temporarily. So yeah, the pipes may have stopped leaking now, but putting more duct tape on it every 6 months won't do anything but make a bigger mess.

Right, so... after the last troll explosion, we now have a bunch of junk topics. Despite being deleted, they're not going away. While we try to find a way to clean it up, continue to post as normal. At worst, eventually the junk threads will be rolled off the first page.

When I searched for the problem in phpBB support I found this:
Open a forum, click the moderator control panel link at the top, tick the ones you want to remove or select a page full of posts with 'mark all' and choose delete at the bottom.

While we're on the subject of technical problems and cleaning up lots of posts, akessel92 made the same post like five times in the Sonic/Sally shipping thread. Could just be an issue at the user's end with the same POST request being sent multiple times. It could be related to the other forum problems, though.

Best guess off the top of my head: The post went through, but the forum displayed an error message instead of a confirmation, so the user refreshed a few times (or went back and hit Submit again) resulting in multiple copies of the post.

And when was there a troll explosion? I haven't been away from the forum for that long. What did I miss? (Incidentally, Ian, "Troll Explosion" is just too good a turn of phrase to pass up. You have to use that in a project somewhere.)

It happened last night. I wouldn't worry about it anymore.

Is it okay to do a thread in the BumbleKreative Korner that revolves around betting to have art drawn for you?

(Kinda has a little teensy weensy bit of inappropriate content for users. Just trying to communicate clearly. Get an an adult to approve this before you look at this, kids. This is not safe for work, either.)
Spoiler: show
I looked at the banned users. Pornography? Oh, Lord. Maybe the new members should take some kind of oath.
(Any way to say that differently?)

The whole *bleep* speech, or the idea of betting in order to replace commissioning?

The fact you felt the need to make a show of writing the word "pornography".

Does the current situation affecting subscribing forums as well? Because I cannot find the subscribe button.

Why do you think I had it spoilered? And did you just say a Harlem Shake idea was lame because you saw that disclaimer and you tried making fun of it? Dude. Not cool. Now please stop it before we get a warning right here on ground zero.

I have no idea what you're talking about. And if there's something in the Kreative Korner with inappropriate content, it needs to be reported so it can be moderated.

Ah - that was one of the first bugs. The subscribe function had to be disabled because it was creating some kind of feedback loop where every update for every user was emailed to the admin account. And folks who subscribed weren't getting their updates half the time.

Actually, here's what I meant:

Two people bet over something, and whoever wins gets their ideal story/art request made by the other person. Due to being a bet, that means you can make your art request specific. Commission specific.

Fix any problems here that sound "broken".

So... To make it clear with example:

1. I bet (insert football team) wins (insert other football team). Bill would bet for other team to win.

2. If I win, Bill would have to draw my request. If Bill wins, I would draw his request.

...Is that what you mean, Bill? That's what I get.
