I think Archie's a little late on their previews. They usually come out about two days before they ship the next comic, maybe it's with StH instead of SU or something. But tomorrow's the preview for SU#4! I hope...

Actually, they usually show the previews on shipping date. They're not late yet.

Yeah, everything is on schedule. The text previews vary (usually around the middle of the week), but the comic previews are always spot on.

I guess it is a way of prolonging the comic book(not that I don't blame them for wanting to keep their jobs). Sonic, of course, does seem to look at his stuggle with Eggman as being a game and sometimes I question if Sonic really is playing to win, which he should especially because he is fighting for a good cause; freedom. Even though the Sonic and the FF's believe in freedom, that doesn't mean that evil doers shouldn't be punished. At some point, there needs to be justice.

Would arresting him really matter? The man's gone clinically insane, throwing him in prisons not going to do anything to him and make him pay for what he's done.

And why throw him in a mental institution? Robotnik was a dictator who almost conquered Mobius, so pretty much everyone on Mobius hates him. If they put him in a mental institution, I'm sure someone would try to assasinate him since he completely ravaged Knothole, their original home. Believe me, they probably thought it best for both sides if Robotnik stayed where he was.

Think about this. He's been in power for about twelve years now. He's a horrible, murdering monster. He's basically the stuff of nightmares to Mobian children.

The man may be insane, but I can assure you people would still prefer him locked up where THEY can watch him, as opposed to trusting his former empire to keep him in check.

It's not exactly about punishment for Eggman, it's about a feeling of safety for the Mobians.

What if he regains his sanity though? Sure, he's insane to the point of not being aware of his surroundings NOW, but even without the Meta-Knowledge that Ian isn't getting rid of him permanently, it's pretty easy to imagine him regaining enough awareness to cause serious trouble.

Besides, I think it would be fun to see the Trial of Ivo Robotnik with him drooling and screaming and freaking everybody out. In terms of plot, the only thing that would really change is the location of his padded cell, since they obviously can't execute him, but it would still feel more responsible of them.

Okay... I couldn't stand waiting for the issue any longer. It was taking tooooo long and I searched around and went out and picked up a copy despite one coming to me in the mail.

So I bought TWO copies! Heres your filthy money, Ian! J/k

Anyway, wow. Just wow. Eggman's breakdown was a powerful moment, I thought. From the tears in his eyes until the last image of him in a padded room. You know, I felt really bad for Sonic during Issue #175 and was a tad mad at Eggman (not really, but out of sympathy for Sonic)... but now the shoe is on the other foot and I really feel sad for the ol' Doc. Robotnik is among my favorites and this moment even made Sonic a bit compassionite towards him. Really a good moment for Sonic too, it really makes me wonder how he is going to be handling this shallow victory in issues to come.

Anyway, I called it on his eyes! SatAM/Prime Robotnik eyes return!

I too hope we visit Robotnik time to time to check up on how he is handling things. I detect a bit of Fleetway Robotnik in him but I doubt Ian will keep him like that forever. I think he might even manage to escape down the road, imagine Eggman on the run.

Now on with the new! The line that intereasted me the most is the "Bride of the Four Houses". I wanna see how this is addressed in the future. I'm not going to be making any guesses on it though and I'll see how things pan out because I'm just coming to grips of everything that took place as is.

What can I say about the art that hasen't been said before? Fantastic job on the coloring, pencils, inks, words, etc.

A very epic milestone indeed. :D

I didn't mention this earlier, and I feel like I should have, but Yardley and Herms' art looked really amazing in this issue. Just about every single panel was pin-up worthy. I especially liked the last panel on page five, the third panel on page eight, the first panel on page thirteen, and of course, the last panel on page nineteen.

I honestly think that with this issue, the Yardley/Herms team has eclipsed the Spaz/Harvo of old.

personally, i'd find it funny if iron queen just has her posse throw snively in the same room with eggman just to get rid of him. that way snively would have to rehabilitate eggman himself, in order to get back at iron queen.

Polyandry. Heck, she's the queen. Who's gonna complain?

Anyone else get the feeling that by this time Snively already knew he wasn't gonna be in charge of much of anything? He introduces RF/IQ as "our new masters." That's OUR, meaning that even if Snively's not on the same level as Dimitri, he's definitely not atop the food chain. That's MASTERS, plural, suggesting that RF/IQ's entire entourage (or maybe just IQ & IK) is above Snively.

Also note that in the shot showing Sniv looking in on his uncle's cell, there's another, identical door in the background. I think Snively's going to be behind it before too long.

Side note: I found it funny that the hi-tech Eggdome padded cell door was secured by (1.) a deadbolt, (2.) a regular lock, and (3.) a hotel key-card lock.

Brilliant! Yes! Maybe.

And just because I've been saying all along that Eggman isn't crazy and now I have proof to the contrary but I'm stubborn: It's a robot. Eggman's on a beach somewhere. Snively will look in one day and see "Eggman" lying on the floor with a cartoony Eggman head on a spring sticking out of his gut, just like Sonic Heroes. LEAVE MY INSANE CONSPIRACY THEORY ALONE!

I don't get how Eggman AND Snively didn't get arrested. I mean wasn't Sally in hot water for disobeying orders only a couple issues ago, and Sonic arrested in Mecha Madness for suspicious treason. Snively betrayed the group countless times and yet he of all people is being allowed to take care Eggman, who committed treason himself? I mean especially if you want to pretend that he's Julian you can't ignore the fact that Julian was apart of the court and betrayed the king to establish his empire.
