Green eyes and pot belly combo FTW!

So, it's looks like a reboot? Probably a temporary one at that.

Indeed, please refrain from that in the future.

I wouldn't worry. This appears to just be a retelling of the first Sonic game. I seriously doubt they'd reset everything. If it is a reboot, I'm sure it's temporary.

I like how it's released around the time of Sonic's and six other characters' birthday

Makes sense in a way, Eggman lacks resources to rebuild the badniks from scratch like he did before. So he captures a bunch of woodland creatures and does half the work in half the time.

Now if only these kinds of badniks were made from the start of the comic by the Robotnik from the cover of the Sonic 0 miniseries before the whole Julian Robotnik bologna. Better late than never I guess.

Huh.

You know, the more I thought about it, the more I started to speculate how this storyline can press forth without really being a reboot. I've been mulling it over for a few days, thinking that the first few issues after 225 may have Sonic taking a little time off from the Freedom Fighters because he needs to clear his head and let any particular kind of shocks from that issue's events settle. Of course, other kind of situations would lie around the corner. It's the same kind of rationale that would support the premise of Sonic 4.

Now that the premise of Genesis is out, it might work out the way I've said. However, the idea of a "temporary reboot" might make more sense.

I feel like something like this has happened before... Sonic X #10-11 (NO Thanks for the Memories)?

Uh...well, this was unexpected...

Wow...I love the idea, but how is it going to tie into Sonic #225?

I have a few ideas. Let's watch.

1. Remember Robotnik Prime's scheme where he put Sonic and the FF's in virtual reality? I'm thinking something like that. Except in a "game" sense, and Sonic meets the Freedom Fighters (the woodland creatures) as he destroys the robots. Maybe the Death Egg blasts Mobius and turns it into a "game" world. Reverts everything, y'know?

2. Actually, I only have one idea...

Hmmmm, really makes me wonder how far spanning everything will be.

Also, called it sorta...on like my 37th try. Considering that was last August though, I feel pretty good...especially because I had witnesses to that theory.

But please please PLEASE don't let it be a complete reset or dare I say, a retcon. (I know it isn't but one can't help but wonder)
